Onny – Team Captain

Hi, Onny here.

Nido was created out of my passion for two things: Taking care of the family (wife Amelia, and kids Rio (15), Jamie (13) and Flora (9), and looking after myself, on the yoga mat. My passion for these things outside of work has driven the philosophy and agenda for what I do inside Nido.

I studied Economics in the States, and from my time abroad, developed an appreciation for planning for and protecting the things that matter – two imperatives I believe help one to get on and enjoy life. When I returned to NZ, I established my own hospitality company, and launched 4:20, Auckland’s first nightspot dedicated to hip-hop. After eight years at the helm of this exciting small business, I shifted my focus onto helping the entrepreneurial endeavours of others, with a move into insurance. Fast-forward thirteen years to the present moment, and today I continue my pursuit offering businesses and families across the country with expert insurance advice, and I love it! I understand small businesses, and when it comes to the home I know what matters most: the family.

Outside of Nido, you’ll find me teaching and practising yoga at Sweat yoga in Newmarket, playing soccer (in a former life for NZ in U17 and U20’s) and taking time out to coach kids. I also enjoy movies, music and a great book.

Katie – The Ref.

Hey, Katie here.

As Onny’s PA I play an important role in our clients’ relationships with Nido. I’m a people person and love taking the time to get to know our people, their interests and goals.

Outside of Nido, I’m an avid traveller, having recently returned from my OE. I love to cook, and I’m a big fan of rugby, soccer and all things outdoors – especially the beach!

Lynne – Team Support

Hey, Lynne here.

Originally from Nelson, I have spent a number of years living and working abroad, including in the Cayman Islands, where I met my husband David. Together we have one son, Robert (12). I bring more than 20 years of PA experience to Nido, and a passion for working with people. In my spare time I enjoy life in Titirangi – gardening, tending to two very large vege gardens and enjoying time out fishing on the boat and getting amongst all of Robert’s exciting activities!

Barbara – Customer Relations Administrator

There is a great level of genuine care in the Nido team, and this brings me great satisfaction, as we support individuals and families, small businesses and companies. I bring sales and marketing experience to Nido, and a passion for people. I live in Titirangi with my husband, two boys (nine and eleven), a lovely labrador and a very spoilt cat. We spend our time gardening, cooking, working on a few never-ending renos and enjoy exploring our beautiful country – especially while fishing and camping. I spent my early 20s travelling, and can’t wait to show our kids the world too. I look forward to talking with you soon!
